The NAT laboratory currently tests approximately 150,000 donations/samples annually. HIV RNA, HCV RNA and HBV DNA NAT testing of IBTS donations and samples in individual donation format. In addition, the system must perform ID-NAT testing for Hepatitis E virus (HEV) and West Nile Virus (WNV) RNA, and future capability for NAT testing of additional viral markers on the proposed system testing platform e.g. Zika virus testing.
