The contracting authority intends to establish a single party framework agreement for the supply of peripheral venous catheter (PVC) devices in a range of sizes. The successful framework member will assume responsibility for delivering the required products to the contracting authority’s premises, and providing initial and ongoing training to the contracting authority’s medical staff.

The urgency associated with this requirement arises from the fact that the required products will be used in an acute hospital setting. On grounds of patient care, time is of the essence in respect of this competition.
The contracting authority undertakes that this framework agreement will not be established until a period of 14 calendar days has elapsed, commencing on the day after the date of electronic notification of all concerned tenderers. This "standstill period" is being observed in accordance with the provisions of S.I. 130 of 2010.
