Managed Equipment Service Contract for the Provision of an ENT Eletromagnetic (EM) Navigation System
In the first instance, a managed equipment service contract of 5 years’ duration will be entered into with the successful tenderer, encompassing the provision of an ENT electromagnetic (EM) navigation system, other associated equipment, the provision of associated consumables and the provision of all related support. Following the expiry of the initial 5 year managed equipment service contract, and as a recurring option that may be availed of solely at the discretion of the Contracting Authority, subsequent 1-year contracts for the support and maintenance of the system in question and the procurement of any necessary consumables may be awarded until the obsolescence of the equipment.

In the first instance, a managed equipment service contract of 5 years’ duration will be entered into with the successful tenderer, encompassing the provision of an ENT electromagnetic (EM) navigation system, other associated equipment, the provision of associated consumables and the provision of all related support. At all points during the 5 year term of the managed equipment service contract, ownership of the equipment in question will remain with the successful tenderer, who will provide the equipment in question to the Contracting Authority for the purpose of allowing its use in a clinical context. The successful tenderer will be reimbursed through the provision of an annual service charge, payable in 12 equal monthly invoices.
Following the expiry of the initial 5 year managed equipment service contract, and as a recurring option that may be availed of solely at the discretion of the Contracting Authority, subsequent 1-year contracts for the support and maintenance of the system in question and the procurement of any necessary consumables may be awarded until the obsolescence of the equipment.

The equipment constituting the subject-matter of this competition is intended for use in an acute hospital setting. On the basis of clinical risk, and in order to allow sufficient time for the evaluation of tender submissions (incorporating a clinical trial or demonstration, if necessary), the time-limits applying to this competition in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2014/24/EU.
The Contracting Authority undertakes that this reviewable public contract will not be concluded until a period of 14 calendar days has elapsed following the electronic notification of concerned tenderers. This statutory “standstill period”, which commences on the day after the date of electronic notification of concerned tenderers, is being observed in accordance with the provisions of S.I. 130 of 2010.
